Cameron Ford has worked with and trained dogs for the best programs in the world. Including being a Sr. Trainer for a U.S. Navy SEAL dog program, a police/SWAT K-9 Handler, and a National Level Police K-9 Evaluator. Add on his collaboration and research with Duke University and Texas Tech University Canine Olfaction Laboratory, and Ford K-9 provides the highest quality training and education available.
Topics Include:
- Handler skills such as leash work, off leash work and control, handler reading and communicating to the dog.
- Making sure Handlers can read the difference between INTEREST and CHANGE OF BEHAVIOR to target odor.
- We will cover “Search Strategies” for various types of environments teams will need to search. We will also work on cueing or bias during searches.
